Freelance Web Developer

Hi there! You've just taken the first step to getting your new website up and running, congrats.

A little about me then. I started developing websites when they looked like this. Well actually - before even then. But things change, technology moves on...yay!

I now develop websites on a freelance basis using as many or as few of the languages I know. I am passionate about web technologies, but that doesn't mean you are, so I'm going to speak with you in plain English about what it is I can do, and what we can achieve together.

If you'd like me to build you a new (or your first) website then get in contact.

Skills / Knowledge

I have a background in technology and business which uniquely positions me to not only develop an attractive website, but an effective one. I'll happily tell you more about that over a coffee - but in the mean time, here's a brief overview of the technologies I can work with:

  • HTML - The bricks and mortar of any website!
  • CSS - Let's make sure your site not only does the business, but looks it too!
  • AngularJS - A very trendy way to make serious websites, no matter whether that's seriously functional, or seriously fun!
  • PHP / .NET - For some back-end punch.

How we decide what to use will depend very much on your brief - the purpose of the site, what it will look like, and what it will do.

Web Development

Website on desktop computer

Okay so you need a new site, maybe a re-design of an existing one that's looking a bit dated and you probably don't want to spend a small fortune doing it. Engaging directly with a Freelancer who has the skills you require will cut out unnecessary middlemen. I offer:

  • End-to-end web development
  • User focussed design
  • Current technologies (HTML5/CSS3)
  • Google Analytics Setup

Responsive Websites

Website on various device sizes

Mobile is the primary access method for most users of the web. What that means for you is that it is absolutely critical that your website is designed from the very beginning for mobile users. This isn't limited to avoiding that horrible "zoom and pan" experience you get on sites designed for desktops; your site needs to consider the flow and usability for those on small screens.

  • Mobile first development
  • Full support across all sizes of device
  • Fast load times

Website Hosting

World class hosting is not the preserve of big budgets. You will enjoy:

  • Domain name registration (
  • UK based, world class hosting
  • Email setup

Website development doesn't end on the "go live" date - no doubt there will be queries, a little tweaking, and of course - occasionally - a bug or two spotted. These minor amendments and support queries will be part of the service.
